I would highly recommend this bike to anyone.The only negative would have to be the way it handled in a severe side wind, but a lot of corrective leaning sorted that out too.Great bike for beginners and experienced riders, and also good (in my opinion) for women looking to do some long distance touring.

One of my favorite trips with my K75 was an Iron Butt Association challenge of going from Canada to Mexico in less than 24 hours – this one is pretty close to the Canadian border if you want to make me proud…įind this K75 for sale here on Craigslist in Gresham, Oregon for $1,500.Bike also had a fairly low seat height. The seller mistakenly calls this a K75C, but it’s definitely a K75S and it also definitely has plenty of life left. The turn signal is destroyed and the right foot peg has broken off – the seller has another peg for you but “what it mounts to is broken.” The bike has not been ridden since a week or so after the accident a few months ago, and the battery will need to be replaced.

Unfortunately, the seller dropped the bike at low speed and there’s quite a bit of cosmetic damage to the right side. This example is well-spec’d with three features my bike had: (can you tell I’m projecting here?) OEM bags, Corbin seat, and an Ohlins rear shock. It sounds like this seller has a similar story, but my bike had about 130,000 miles when I got rid of it, and this one has just 36,000. I ended up getting rear-ended on my K75C, and then I sold it with a salvage title a few months later.

It’s not a particularly exciting motorcycle but I’m biased because a K75C showed naive young me what motorcycle touring was all about after 4 years and 75,000 miles with only one issue (which was my fault).

Those of you that have read some of my older travel reports probably know that I have a soft spot for the BMW K75.
